Seafood & Wine Festival – Astoria
One of the more popular events on the Oregon Coast takes place each spring in Astoria. The Astoria Warrenton Crab, Seafood & Wine Festival 2013, scheduled for the last weekend in April, will offer coastal cuisine, arts and crafts, wine tasting and live entertainment. As you make your way through the vast array of wine and seafood vendors, enjoy the sounds of musical groups ranging from the Astoria High School Jazz Band to the Neil Henderson Band, whose frontman has performed with Rod Stewart, Melissa Etheridge and Charlie Daniels. The festival is held at the Clatsop County County Fairgrounds (92937 Walluski Loop), located on Highway 202 about four miles from the U.S. Highway 101 junction in Astoria. Parking costs $10 per vehicle and is limited. Shuttles are available. www.oldoregon.com
