Rising From The Ashes

Back on January 2, 2012, there was an electrical fire at the Shop Adorn store (4120 NE Fremont), in which the store sustained substantial damage. With the support of family, friends and clients, Shop Adorn has reopened and is as busy as ever. This fall, they are conducting a launch of the Portland Collection from Pendleton. Fun and Healthy

The Red Fig (4537 NE Fremont) recently upgraded the place with a full bar. This friendly neighborhood restaurant, located in a little craftsman bungalow, serves delicious inexpensive healthy food. Festival of Lights

The Beaumont Business Association (BBA) is planning their Third Annual Fremont Festival of Lights on Friday, December 7, 2012. Last year there was an incredible response from the community, and many are excited to see it return again this year. This annual event helps to promote the season and create an atmosphere for people to come out and enjoy a festive evening in Beaumont Village. 65-75 trees will be lit along NE Fremont between 40th and 50th. There will also be a large, lighted tree at the corner of Fremont and 41st. The event will include Santa arriving by local PDX fire engine to be delivered to Santaís Village at Foot Traffic.
