A GREAT BISTRO SETTING

Need a place to meet with friends and enjoy a meal together, look no further than Cafe Nell on the corner of NW 20th and Kearny. Cafe Nell is more than inspired NW cuisine. With indoor and outdoor seating in a French bistro setting, take your time as the French do—relax and enjoy.

RARE AND EXQUISITE

New to Nob Hill is Antoinette Antique and Estate Jewelry located at the top of 23rd Ave. (2328 NW Westover). Specializing in rare and exquisite estate jewelry, Antoinette is known for her vintage engagement rings and is a GIA Graduate Gemologist. You can even play a round of pool!

GOTTA HAVE SOME GREEK

Dorio Cafe & Taverna (1037 nw 23rd ave) is still going strong after having just celebrated a year in business. Dorio offers a wonderful open atmosphere, authentic greek food, and more. They are open for lunch, dinner and carry out as well. Located on the streetcar line, Dorio is great for a sit down meal or a quick lunch bite while in central Nob Hill. Whether it be baklava or a burger, it’s definitely worth a visit. Menu items top out at around only $8!

WHERE SHOULD YOU GO

A long time favorite hotspot in the area is Sante Fe Taqueria (831 NW 23rd Ave). One time I even spotted actor Kevin Coster there, back when he was filming a movie here in the Portland area. When the weather is nice you’re sure to enjoy their outdoor cafe seating while you soak up the sun and view passers by on NW 23rd. Sante Fe is just what the doctor ordered when you want to satisfy your craving for that certain Mexican dish, prepared exactly to your liking.

THE SALON NEXT DOOR

One of Northwest’s premier salons has moved! Au Salon is now located at (1207 NW 23rd, just next door to their former location) and boasts a larger space. Lotus Antiques & Imports has a new location at 2215 NW Quimby St. The space is HUGE and offers everything from hand selected furniture and home décor to art, jewelry, and gifts small and large. Lotus Antiques & Imports utilizes their space to creatively and artistically showcase gems from China’s past and present. Such a fabulous open space, Lotus has even served as the location for fashion shows. Definitely worth a look, or two, or three!

READY EYE SHADOW

Blush Beauty Bar (523 NW 23rd Ave) on October 7th and 8th from 11am-7pm, will be hosting the national launch of bareMinerals Ready Eye Shadow and Ready SPF 15 Touch Up Mineral Veil.
